It may have been inside the Duomo of Monreale in Palermo, or maybe while visiting Capodimonte Museum in Naples or Sea Museum of Piombino, all magnificent testaments overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, that Luigi Ravasi conceived the idea of drawing an object like symbol of seaside. Pure material pleasure, just as the art of the mosaic, a play of details pulled together in a skillful yet unexpected fashion: the brightness of diamonds crown in a deep blue nucleus of Tyrrhenian seaside color.
